Read. READ. Rrrrreeeeaaaadddd. read.

Read a damn book.

I don’t care what – just read.

Read the news, read the dictionary, read wiki articles and blog (preferably ones with real sentences) and fanfiction.

But even if you read all of those, read real, old-fashioned, printed books.

Can you tell that this is an important issue for me? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

What’s that you say? What should you read? Well, I already said books, so I guess you want actual suggestions. If you insist.

Here are some of the recent books I have read (I work in a bookstore, by the way) that I highly recommend for the content and writing:

The Bill McKibben Reader: Pieces From An Active Life, Bill McKibben

Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission To Promote Peace…One School At A Time, Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin

An Imperfect Offering: Humanitarian Action For The Twenty-First Century, James Orbinski

Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fate of Human Societies, Jared Diamond
